Why Fast?
Fasting is a powerful means to detoxify and rebalance the body systems. It has been
used for centuries to clear stored toxins out of the body, increase energy, promote
well-being, improve health and increase longevity.
It is more critical in these modern times, where our bodies, minds and spirits are
bombarded with record levels of poisons from many sources. Most diseases can be
traced to our depresses immunes system and imbalances.
Our body can't deal with regular daily digestion and complex toxic elimination at the
same time. During a fast, the energy used for digestion is freed up for healing. Fasting
is like "winging out a sponge of dirty water". It can be compared to pushing the reset
button on a locked up computer - starting a new cycle of restored balance. God
designed our bodies so that, during a fast, the garbage is burned first.
By cleaning out the body, fasting has been known to help heal and/or prevent many
diseases. It clears toxins from the blood and purifies the body on a cellular level,
supporting all the glands and organs. It helps eliminate unwanted materials from the
body such as dead, dying diseased cells, fatty tissue, trans-fatty acids,mucus,
cholesterol, and other embedded toxins. It also helps eliminate parasites.
Fasting accelerates tissue-regeneration, normalizes vital functions, clears the mind,
rejuvenates the body and much more. It deals with the whole person, body, mind, and
